Cartika offers dedicated servers with a minimum of 4 CPU cores and 12GB RAM and a minimum RAID1 configuration with redundant components and power. Customers requiring less resources are better suited utilizing VPS servers, VPS Clusters, Cloud Servers or Cloud Clusters. A VPS or Cloud Server/Cluster is more cost effective, reliable and redundant as compared to any lower end dedicated server. As a result, our lowest end dedicated server is a configuration that presents value to customers and is a legitimate entry level point for dedicated servers. Customers requiring less resources then we have available in our entry level dedicated server offering or customers requiring similar amounts of resources with greater flexibility, are encouraged to look at Virtual and Cloud Clusters as a solution. |

A Cloud cluster is 2 or more Cloud servers working together to perform a specific task. These Cloud servers are isolated and dedicated instances for clients to use. Typically, we plug these Cloud servers into our existing cluster. By doing so, we offload heavy control panel services and redundant DNS services off of your Cloud servers and run them on our cluster. On a dedicated server, you not only lose the benefits of clustering, but, you also waste resources running control panel services locally as well as lose redundancy by running DNS on the same install. |

A Cloud cluster represents significant value over a low to mid range dedicated server. A fully, proactively managed dedicated server with 2 CPU and 4 GB RAM with load balancing for high availability starts at more then $1000/month from good providers. The Cartika cloud cluster similarly spec'ed starts at $400/month. The cost savings are found with the inherit efficiencies in virtualization coupled with cloud architecture which enables native high availability. Leverage the latest technology to receive the benefits high availability and flexibility for a fraction of the price of traditional hosting solutions. |

The Cartika Cloud is inherently more redundant then is possible with any single dedicated server. Redundant at every level, with no single point of failure. Whether a single server fails, an entire SAN fails or any switch or router fails, the cloud infrastructure will stay up. Please see our Cloud Network Diagram HERE for additional information |

With a Cartika Cloud cluster, you are able to split off services onto different installs. Web service (Apache or IIS) on one install and Database service (MS SQL, MySQL, pgSQL) on another separate install. The advantages of this are specialized configuration, security and resource flexibility of each service. With a Cartika Cloud Cluster you are also able to centrally manage Linux and Windows instances and services. None of this simply is possible on a single dedicated server. |

A Cartika Cloud cluster is inherently more flexible then a dedicated server. With Web and Database services isolated, in a granular manner, you can scale each service as required to meet capacity demands. A single dedicated server is locked into the resources it has available. It is often very difficult to add additional resources. In most scenarios, downtime or complicated migrations are required. With a Cartika Cloud cluster you can scale services as required in a seamless manner. Not enough resources on the node you are occupying? not a problem, your install will seamlessly move to another node in our cloud that has the capacity you require. Seamless upwards and backwards scalability for every service and only pay for usage by the day. A dedicated server cannot accommodate this. |

A Cartika Cloud cluster is built using Citrix Xenserver Enterprise Grade Virtualization technology on top of the highest grade hardware available in the market. The servers are completely redundant, built with multiple quad core or hex core CPU's, up to 96 GB RAM and all master nodes utilize RAID10 technology over 4 (SATA) or 8 (SAS) spindles dependent on required workloads. Each VPS server has access to hardware FAR superior to any entry or mid grade dedicated server. As a result of increased efficiency in this technology, the result is a superior product at a better price for consumers. |
